I'm not a proponent of diluting the product by the way, but sometimes it may be the only way to make things work. I think they say that you can add up to 10% water to CT and I've found that you can fudge that number quite a bit more. So, if Sealmaster says you can add 5%, you should plan on staying within 2% of that recommendation unless they've just made a super thick batch. One last thing, the AE is much more sensitive to added water. ![]() If you use latex all the time then it doesn't matter. Also, if you're striping you can use solvent paints on AE. ![]() Both lots look to me like they are going to go 5 years and they each have moderate to high traffic levels. The CT was sprayed on (2 coats) and the AE had one squeegee and one spray. Both Premium mixes and as far as I can tell they are both wearing similarly. You simply tell them that there have been multiple studies that show coal tar as a carcinogen, that multiple states and municipalities have outlawed it, and then encourage them to google it for themselves. It has been an easy sell for me to switch customers. If you don't use sand or additives stick with coal tar. Use their AE PMM and you won't be disappointed. I use SealMaster, I prefer AE over coal tar, but only if you're going to apply it as a premium blend. New here, but I have some experience with this subject.
